5. After you have torqued the bolts, go back every half-hour and check the torque (two times
should be adequate). A creeping function of the bolt may have caused the torque to adjust.
Re-torque any bolts which adjusted.
2.4.4 Base plate placement – Floor plate
In some countries, a floor plate (Customer expense) is locally supplied to support the gantry and
the table.
1. Position base plate (hardstop towards the table) over the threaded holes and, using loctite,
install screws and washers delivered into the kit 2285632.
2. Insert and torque each of the base plate bolts to 20 ft-lbs (2.7 daN.m) to seat the plate and
keep it from moving. Continue to torque each bolt in 20 ft-lbs (2.7 daN.m) increments until 150
ft-lbs (20 daN.m) for 3/4” bolts is reached. Torque sequence is as follows:
1-7-4-10-2-8-5-11-3-9-6-12 (12-holes)
