Units with bootware versions earlier than 3.00 must be set to a baud rate of 9600
with a Slave Address of 1 before downloading new firmware. The bootware
version can be checked in the A5 PRODUCT INFO

Saving setpoints to a file
Before upgrading firmware, it is very important to save the current 750/760 settings to a
file on your PC. After the firmware has been upgraded, it will be necessary to load this file
back into the 750/760.
Refer to Downloading and saving setpoints files on page 20 for details on saving relay
setpoints to a file.
Loading new firmware
Loading new firmware into the 750/760 flash memory is accomplished as follows:
1. Connect the relay to the local PC and save the setpoints to a file as shown in
Downloading and saving setpoints files on page 20.
2. Select the Communications > Update Firmware menu item.
3. The following warning message will appear. Select Yes to proceed or No the cancel the
process. Do not proceed unless you have saved the current setpoints.
4. The EnerVista 750/760 Setup software will request the new firmware file. Locate the
firmware file to load into the 750/760. The firmware filename has the following
format:
5. The 750/760PC software automatically lists all filenames beginning with ‘27’. Select
the appropriate file and click OK to continue. This will be the Analog Board file.
6. A second file request will be prompted. This will be for the Control Board file.
Both analog and control board files must have the same firmware
versions.
7. The software will prompt with another Upload Firmware Warning window. This will be
the final chance to cancel the firmware upgrade before the flash memory is erased.
Click Yes to continue or No to cancel the upgrade.
