o Clock instance should be set to 0;
o Device Type should be set to P2pTransp;
o 2 Step Flag field should be set to True;
o Clock identify should not be changed;
o One Way should be set to False;
o Protocol should be set to Ethernet;
o VLAN Tag Enable checkbox should be disabled;
o VLAN Identifier (VID) should be 0;
o Priority bits (PCP) should be 0.
After setting this parameters, click at the Save button. An instance based on the
previous configurations will be created.
At the instance created, select at the checkboxes which ports will be members of the
instance. In the example given, ports that must be in the same parameters instance
are:
o Port where PTP Grandmaster Clock is connected;
o Port where there are switch-to-switch connections;
o Port where PTP slave clocks are connected. In this example, port
where Merging Unit is connected.
Repeat these steps on all switches that are being used to forward PTP messages. In
the example given, all switches should be configured with the parameter shown
above, and ports connecting switch-to-switch and PTP clocks should be members of
the instance.
