9.5 Answering Machine Settings
9.5.1 Set the Answer Mode
By default, the answer machine is set in ANS&REC mode which allows callers to leave
a message. This mode can be changed to ANSONLY which does not allow callers to
leave a message. In that case, your callers will be prompted to call back later.
You can select ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY for the answering machine.
Using a handset:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press and / to select ANSWER MODE.
4. Press and / to select ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY.
5. Press to confirm.
Using the base:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK to show ANSWER MODE.
4. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS & REC or ANSWER ONLY.
5. Press MENU/OK to confirm.
9.5.2 Set the TAM Language
You can choose the voice prompt language of the answering machine from a total of 3
languages.
Using a handset:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press and / to select TAM LANGUAGE.
4. Press and / to select the desired voice prompt language for the answering
machine.
5. Press to confirm
Using the base:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM LANGUAGE.
4. Press MENU/OK and / to select the desired voice prompt language for the
answering machine.
