Windows 2K/XP installation
Two Microsoft drivers are required: the HID driver and the CCID driver.
The HID driver is always available in the operating system and the HID device will be
installed automatically when the device is plugged on your computer.
If the CCID driver is available in the operating system, the two CCID devices will be installed
automatically, as described in the next paragraph “Windows 2K/XP installation without the
Windows Update procedure”.
If the CCID driver is not available in the operating system, the two CCID devices will be
installed after the Windows Update procedure, as described in the next paragraph
“Windows 2K/XP installation using the Windows Update procedure”.

These installation steps will be effective only if the CCID diver is available in the operating
system.
When the USB cable is plugged into the USB port of the computer the following popup
dialog boxes will be successively displayed over the task bar:
