Delivery and Installation
To ensure that your new Genevac HT system is set up correctly and operates to its full
potential, it should be installed and commissioned by Genevac personnel or by an
authorised representative of Genevac.
Checking the delivery
Check the contents of the delivery, against the delivery note as soon as possible. Notify
Genevac Ltd immediately if any parts are missing or damaged. (Refer to the back cover for
contact details).
Installation site
The workstation must be positioned on a level and solid floor. Sufficient space must be left
around the workstation to allow the pump bay and waste solvent doors to open and to allow
access for maintenance.
Use the inbuilt jacks (as shown) to lift all four wheels clear of the floor when the workstation
is in its final position. The back of the system may be positioned against a wall, although
provision must be made for maintenance access. Leave sufficient space on either side of
the workstation to allow the waste solvent container door, and the pump and catch-pot door,
to open.
Thumbscrews retract or
lower the inbuilt jacks
User training
Commissioning normally includes training in the basic operation of the system. Further in-
house training is recommended to fully exploit the flexibility of the system. Applications
support is normally free of charge for the lifetime of the instrument. Contact Genevac
Applications Support or your local Genevac Representative for a technical news letter which
contains hints and tips, or visit www.genevac.com/newsletter.htm
Caution: The evaporator must not be operated by personnel who lack the
training, or experience to comprehend the hazards that can arise when using the
equipment. Personnel without such training require thorough instruction; these
operating instructions should form the basis of this instruction.
