11.4. Replacing the system for turning off and stop-
ping the engine
1 - Remove the starter assembly [ 6.1].
2 - Remove the lter assembly [ 7.1].
3 - Disconnect the brake wire (2) from the lever
(3).
4 - Disconnect the faston (6) from the microswitch
(8).
5 - Undo the two screws (11) and the stud (12) which
secure the support bracket (13).
6 - When tting, perform the above operations in
reverse, tightening the screws (11) and the stud (12)
to the torque indicated.
7 - Ret the starter assembly [ 6.1] and the lter
assembly [ 7.1].
8 - Start the engine, release the lawnmower lever
and check that the engine stops within 3 secon-
ds.
WARNING! Never return the lawnmower to
yourclientwithoutcheckingbrakeefcien-
cy.
Tightening torques
11 Brake support screws 8-10 Nm
12 Brake support stud 8-10 Nm
