4) Inspect the hydrophobic lter for contamination or damage.
If either is evident, replace the lter.
5) Fit a new Hydrophobic Filter Bulb (Part No. 67213), if
required.
Note: Installation is a reversal of the removal procedure
and therefore relevant Figs. should be referred to.
6) Connect the hydrophobic lter bulb to the probe lter bulb
so that the bayonet connection locates correctly then turn
hydrophobic lter bulb in a clockwise direction until secure.
Note: Care must be taken not to overtighten the filter
assembly.
7) Before attaching the probe adaptor to the hydrophobic
lter bulb, check the probe washer for signs of damage.
If damaged, it must be replaced with a new washer
(Part No. 12379).
8) Hold the hydrophobic lter bulb then attach probe adaptor to
the hydrophobic lter bulb by turning adaptor in a clockwise
direction until secure.
Note: Care must be taken not to overtighten the probe
adaptor.
9) Attach the lter holder complete with new dust lter as
detailed in section 13.2.1 paragraphs 3 to 5.
10) Switch the instrument ON and check that sample / ow fault
is displayed when the probe inlet is blocked (with a nger for
example) while the pump is running. If fault is not displayed,
check tightness of all ttings.
