Why does my Graco Project Paint Sprayer make no sound when I pull the trigger?
    • E
      Erin CollinsSep 12, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer makes no sound when you pull the trigger, it could be due to several reasons: * The diagnostic light doesn't blink upon plugging in, indicating no power. Verify the power supply to the sprayer. * If the diagnostic light blinks once, wait 20–30 minutes for the motor to cool down. * If the diagnostic light blinks four times when the trigger is pulled, it indicates a locked rotor. In this case, the pump and/or motor assembly may need replacement. * The Smartcontrol may need replacement, or the motor itself may need to be replaced.

How to prevent dripping or sagging in the spray pattern of my Graco Project Paint Sprayer?
    • S
      Susan MyersSep 9, 2025
To prevent dripping or sagging with your Graco Paint Sprayer, move the sprayer faster when spraying. If the sprayer is too close to the surface, move it away. Release the trigger when changing directions. If your model has speed control, decrease the speed until the desired pattern is achieved. A worn or damaged spray tip can also cause this, so replace it.

Why is paint leaking out of the cup threads on my Graco Project?
    • L
      Lindsey LewisSep 8, 2025
If paint leaks from the cup threads of your Graco Paint Sprayer, ensure the cup lid is tight and properly seated. An under-tightened cup lid will allow air to seep into the FlexLiner. Add seal lube to the cup lid gasket to ensure an airtight seal. Make certain there is only one FlexLiner in the cup support and that there is no damage or debris on the top sealing edge of the FlexLiner or cup lid gasket. Make certain the cup lid is properly threaded to the cup support, with no threads visible when tight. Avoid flexing or pushing down on the cup support or pulling down on the FlexLiner when you evacuate the air out of it. If the problem persists, replace the FlexLiner.

How to fix spray pattern tails with Graco Project?
    • E
      Elijah WilsonAug 23, 2025
To fix spray pattern tails with your Graco Paint Sprayer, first ensure the driver is at maximum speed or try a higher speed driver. Check if the spray tip is correct for the material. If not, install a different size. The material might need thinning, so thin it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The material itself might not be compatible with the sprayer, so use a different one. Lastly, a worn or damaged spray tip can cause tails, so replace it.

Why does my Graco Project spray with poor results?
    • H
      howardstephanieSep 6, 2025
Poor spray results from your Graco Paint Sprayer can stem from several factors. The spray tip might be partially clogged, so you should clear tip clogs. The spray tip might be in the wrong position. It's possible the spray tip isn't the right size for the material you're using, so install a different size spray tip. If you're using a drill driver, ensure it's set to the 'drill' setting, or switch to an impact driver. A worn or damaged spray tip will cause this, so replace it. Also, the material might be aerated or too cold; let it settle or warm it up.
