Connecting a wired Headset
EHS (Ear, Hook, Switch) Headset
The GXP-2135 and GXP-2170 support normal RJ11 headset and Plantronics EHS headset. To use the
Plantronics EHS headset, contact us with the extension number of the phone you want it enabled on, it
has to be activated from our end. The phones are not compatible will all headsets. For a list of
compatible headsets, please use the below link for a PDF that has a list of the supported headsets. Other
Bluetooth headsets may work but is not guaranteed and at your own risk.

1. Connect the Headset to the phone. Insert headset connector into the RJ11 headset port on
the back of the phone.
2. To use headset mode, press headset button on the phone. A headset icon will
show on the status bar on the screen.
Bluetooth Headset
You can pair it by Navigating the menu to System Bluetooth Start Scan. Follow the directions to
complete the pairing. Bluetooth version is 2.1
To use headset mode, press headset button on the phone. A headset icon will show on the
status bar on the screen.
USB Jack
The 2170 has a USB Jack on the rear of the phone. This is for diagnostic purposes. It can however be
used to charge a Bluetooth headset when not in use. This will save from having to use an additional
power supply for charging.
