CHAPTER 3 Settings and Measurement
Then, when the unit name to be connected is selected from the displayed remote sensor list, the unit
name is automatically registered.
After conrming the unit name and the number of AMP terminals, press "OK" to apply the settings.
After completing the settings, turn off the power of the GL840 and then turn on the power of the GL840.
When the connection is completed, the following is displayed and the connection is completed. While the
GL840 is loading the GLT400 settings, the remote terminal icon shows the loading progress rate.
Connecting to remote terminal
Because the data capturing of the GL840 and the data capturing of the remote terminal (GLT400) may be
delayed, when checking or replaying the data, you should consider the data delay.
If the network connection of the remote terminal is unstable, the data capturing may not be performed
correctly, so use it in a stable communication environment.
When connecting to the GL840 as a remote terminal, the GLT400 logic pulse input is not available.
When connecting to the GL840 as a remote terminal, only the Alarm 1 output of the GLT400 can be set.
When outputting the alarm to the remote terminal, a delay of several seconds from 500 ms may occur.
When the remote terminal is connected and the sampling interval is set faster than 500ms, the waveform
display is thinned out.
When connecting to a remote terminal, the trigger on the remote terminal side is checked at fastest
intervals of 500ms, so the trigger detection may be delayed.
If the sampling interval faster than 500ms is set, triggers and alarms may not be detected depending on
the signal cycle.
If communication delay or disconnection to the remote terminal (GLT400) occurs due to the
communication environment, the reconnect will be tried. Therefore, the sampling timing after
reconnection may be shifted from the previous one.
The wireless sensor (GL100-WL) and the remote terminal (GLT400) can be connected up to
5 in total. You can check the connection state with the remote unit icon.
Device access display (when connecting to wireless LAN)
Remote unit icon (wireless sensor/remote terminal)
When connecting to the wireless LAN with the remote unit, if the
radio wave strength display of the base unit is set to the base
unit, the number of the remote units (wireless sensor/remote
terminal) connected to the GL840 is displayed.
Displays when the GL100-WL and GLT400 are
connected wirelessly.
