Customer Supplied Ethernet Routers and Switches
Existing facility Ethernet switches can be used in conjunction with a
Karrera system. If connecting to a network area outside that used by the
Karrera system, use of an appropriately configured Ethernet Router is
strongly advised. This reduces network traffic on the Karrera network and
keeps it isolated. Any Ethernet switches added specifically for use with the
