What causes the blade to dull prematurely on my Grizzly Saw?
    • B
      Brenda WallaceAug 16, 2025
Premature dulling of your Grizzly Saw blade can occur if you're using the wrong blade TPI, applying improper feed pressure, or if the blade is twisted or slipping on the wheel. Additionally, if the guides are hitting the teeth, this can also cause premature dulling. Ensure you're using the blade with the correct TPI, applying the correct feed pressure, and adjust blade guide bearings and support bearing. If the blade is twisted or slipping, replace the blade and increase blade tension and clean wheel tire.

Why do the blade or teeth break/crack on my Grizzly Saw?
    • F
      Frances WilsonAug 19, 2025
If the blade or teeth on your Grizzly Saw are breaking or cracking, several factors could be at play. It might be due to incorrect blade tension. The blade could be unsuitable for the task, or you might be applying too much pressure. Cutting corners too sharply, a dull blade, incorrect blade tracking, improperly adjusted blade guides, a faulty blade weld, or worn wheel tires can also cause this. Additionally, misalignment of the fence or miter slot, or bad bearings can contribute to the issue. Try adjusting blade tension, using the correct blade, reducing feed rate, using a wider arc on cuts, replacing the blade, adjusting blade tracking and guides, replacing tires, aligning the table and fence, and/or replacing bearings.

What to do if the blade tracks incorrectly or comes off the wheels of my Grizzly G0803Z?
    • R
      Ronald GomezAug 26, 2025
If the blade on your Grizzly Saw is tracking incorrectly or coming off the wheels, it could be due to several reasons. The tracking might not be adjusted properly, or the wheels might not be coplanar. Other potential causes include loose blade tension, blade guides being too tight, feeding the workpiece too fast, using the incorrect blade, a bell-mouthed or dull blade, or damaged wheel tires. Ensure the tracking is properly adjusted, the wheels are coplanar, the blade tension is correct, the blade guides are properly adjusted, the workpiece is fed slower, the correct blade is installed, and the wheel tires are in good condition.

Why does the blade slow, smoke, overheat, or wear on one side on my Grizzly G0803Z?
    • D
      Daniel MathisAug 28, 2025
If your Grizzly Saw blade slows, smokes, overheats, or wears unevenly, it could be due to excessive side pressure while feeding the workpiece, or the blade contacting the table insert. Other potential causes include worn or misadjusted blade guides, insufficient blade support, the blade being installed backward, misaligned wheels, or a dull or incorrect blade. A bell-mouthed blade or a fence not parallel with the blade can also cause these issues. Make sure to feed the workpiece straight, adjust blade guide bearings, adjust the blade guide bracket, adjust blade guides, check blade installation, adjust the wheels, replace the blade and adjust fence parallelism.

How to prevent rough or scored workpieces from my Grizzly G0803Z Saw?
    • A
      Alexander HarrisAug 31, 2025
Rough or scored workpieces from your Grizzly Saw can result from an overloaded blade, causing it to twist, or using a blade with a TPI that's too coarse. A loose or fluttering blade, incorrect blade tracking, or a blade with missing or bent teeth, or a faulty weld can also contribute to this. Try decreasing the feed rate, using the correct blade for the material and cut, increasing blade tension, adjusting blade tracking, and replacing the blade.

Why is the backside of my Grizzly Saw blade deforming or cracking?
    • C
      craigaustinSep 3, 2025
Deformation or cracking on the backside of your Grizzly Saw blade can be caused by excessive feed pressure or blade tension. Other potential causes include incorrect blade guide alignment, worn guides, or the blade tracking too far back and hitting the lip of the wheels. Try reducing feed pressure, adjusting blade tension, correcting blade guide alignment, replacing the guides, and adjusting tracking.

What to do if the table on my Grizzly G0803Z is hard to tilt?
    • M
      Madeline PerezSep 6, 2025
If the table on your Grizzly Saw is hard to tilt, it could be due to the table tilt lock lever being tightened, sawdust or pitch trapped between the trunnion and base, or metal burrs on the trunnion. Loosen the table tilt lock lever, remove any sawdust or pitch, and remove any burrs to resolve this issue.

Why does the miter bar bind in the miter slot of my Grizzly G0803Z?
    • A
      Aaron VelezSep 9, 2025
If the miter bar binds in the miter slot of your Grizzly Saw, it could be due to a dirty or gummed-up slot, or a bent miter bar. Carefully clean the miter slot. If the bar is bent, replace it.

How to fix a crooked cut or wandering blade (blade lead) on my Grizzly G0803Z Saw?
    • M
      Morgan ReedNov 21, 2025
A crooked cut or wandering blade on your Grizzly Saw can stem from several issues. Excessive feeding pressure or cutting speed can cause this, as can loose blade tension, a dull or damaged blade, or inadequate blade support. Using a blade too narrow for the cut, incorrect blade tracking, a loose table, or misaligned fence or miter slot can also be culprits. Additionally, incorrectly adjusted blade guides or support bearings, uneven tooth set, incorrect blade TPI, or the blade following the wood grain can lead to this problem. To address this, adjust the feed rate and cutting speed, increase blade tension, replace the blade, adjust the upper blade guide, use a wider blade, adjust blade tracking, tighten the table, align the table and fence, adjust blade guide bearings, use a blade with fewe...
