    • M
      Michael MoodyAug 19, 2025
If the conveyor belt slips under a load in your Grizzly Sander, it could be due to a loose or worn conveyor belt, or because the workpiece is too heavy. Try tensioning or replacing the conveyor belt. Alternatively, use a lighter workpiece.

Why does my Grizzly Sander lack power and the drums stop turning under load?
    • M
      Melissa GriffinAug 21, 2025
If your Grizzly Sander lacks power and the drums stop turning under load, it could be due to excessive pressure on the sanding drum or loose/worn belts. Try lowering the conveyor table to reduce pressure. Also, check the belts and tension or replace them as needed.

What to do if there is a grinding noise from the sanding drums on my Grizzly Sander?
    • J
      Jennifer GonzalezAug 25, 2025
If you hear grinding, screeching, or rubbing noises from the sanding drums of your Grizzly Sander, several issues might be the cause. The drum could be scraping on the dust scoop, in which case you should adjust the dust scoop so it does not contact the drum. Alternatively, the drum bearings may need grease, so grease them. Finally, the drum bearings might be worn, so replace them.

Why does sandpaper clog quickly on my Grizzly G1066R?
    • K
      Kristina WilsonAug 28, 2025
Sandpaper may clog quickly on your Grizzly Sander due to several reasons. It could be that the sanding depth of cut is too much, or the feed rate is too slow. The workpiece might have high moisture content or sap. An incorrect sandpaper grit could also be the cause. Check for poor dust collection, or if the sandpaper is loaded with sawdust and gum, or simply worn out. To address this, reduce the depth of cut or increase the feed rate. Consider using different stock, or frequently clean/replace the sandpaper. Ensure you're using the correct sandpaper grit for the operation. Unclog ducts, close gates to improve suction, or redesign the collection system. Clean or replace the sandpaper, or replace worn sandpaper.

What to do if the conveyor belt slips on my Grizzly Sander?
    • M
      Mary PriceAug 30, 2025
If the conveyor belt slips or doesn't track correctly on your Grizzly Sander, it might be due to several reasons. The belt tension or tracking may not be properly adjusted, or the conveyor belt itself might be loose or worn. It is also possible that the workpiece is too heavy. Ensure that the belt tension and tracking are properly adjusted. If the belt is worn, replace it. Try using a lighter workpiece.

    • D
      Dr. Justin ThompsonSep 3, 2025
If the workpiece kicks out of the Grizzly sander, it could be due to not enough pressure from the pressure rollers, or the sanding drums not being properly aligned. Lower the pressure rollers or adjust the sanding drum alignment.
