When operating in multipump mode, the operating mode,
control mode and setpoint are active on a system level,
meaning that the settings are the same on both pumps.
Changing settings or reading out multipump parameters is
only done on one of the pumps.
However, Grundfos Eye and relays are local
and show the status of each individual
pump (e.g. running, stopped and warning).
The heat energy parameters (ow, volume and
heat energy) are accumulated on system level.
Both pumps will display the same values.
The temperature sensor must only be installed
on the master pump.
In applications where the twin-head pump is
autonomously controlled by a 3rd party controller,
it is recommended to dissolve the factory enabled
multipump function.
When dissolving the multipump function, the inputs
and output must be congured on both pump heads.
The pump from which the multipump system is congured is
automatically assigned as master. In twin-head pumps, where
the multipump function is enabled from factory, the master is
identied on the nameplate. See ”How to identify the master
pump” in ”4. Multipump setup”.?
To change master, dissolve the multipump function via the Assist
menu on the pump display and reinitialise from the pump you
wish to assign master.
