Click Properties in the HyperTerminal window to enter the Switch Properties dialog box. Click the
Settings tab, set the emulation to VT100, and then click OK.

Powering on the switch
Checking before power-on
Before powering on the switch, verify that:
• The power cord is properly connected.
• The power supply voltage meets the requirement of the switch.
• The console cable is properly connected; the terminal or PC used for configuration has been started;
and the configuration parameters have been set.
Powering on the switch
After the S3100V2-52TP switch starts up, the following information is displayed on the terminal screen.
