Operation
Driving direction selection switch
(forwards/reverse)
(Fig. 15/6)
• It serves to select the driving direc-
tion:
- Forward: control lever forward
- Reverse: control lever back
- Stop: control lever in center (neu-
tral position)
• To change the driving direction,
bri
ng the machine to a stop by apply-
ing the service brake, select the new
direction and accelerate again.
Right-hand operating panel
(Fig. 15/7)
• This operating panel contains the
key switch to
switch the vehicle on
and off, the horn and two control
lamps for the optionally available
working lights and flashing beacon;
also refer to Section 3.2.3.
Parking brake
(Fig. 15/8)
• The pedal to the left of the steering
co
lumn serves to apply the parking
brake to the rear wheels.
• When the parking brake is applied,
the correspo
nding control lamp on
the operating panel (Fig. 16/3) lights
up red.
• If the driving direction selection
switch is actu
ated while the parking
brake is applied, a pulsating "beep"
is issued.
Before getting out of the vehi-
cle apply the parking brake, set
the drivin
g direction selection
switch (Fig. 15/6) to its neutral
position and switch the key
switch to off.
