5.8.3 Adjusting the sealing strips
Angle adjustment
The angle adjustment is decisive in
controll
ing whether the squeegee's
sealing strips lie evenly on the floor.
1. Park the machine on a level surface
and
lower the squeegee.
2. Loosen the counternut on the adjust-
ing bolt (Fig. 16/3) and adjust the
squeegee with the adjusting
bolt until
the ends of the sealing strips just
make contact with the floor.

Turn the adjusting bolt clockwise:
Distance
between sealing strip and
floor is decreased in the middle.

Turn the adjusting bolt counterclock-
wise: Distance between sealing strip
and
floor is increased in the middle.
3. Switch the machine on and check
the suction pattern. When driving,
the sealing strips must make as even
a contact as possible all around
(center and outer sides).
4. Tighten the counternut on the adjust-
ing bolt at 7 Nm.
