Main menu 2 and its functions
Fig. 2 shows the same two curves and a PSK signal which is
shifted 70 degr. during the High level and 0 degr. during the
Low level.
Fig. 3 shows again the two signals and a PSK signal which is
shifted 70 degr. during the High level and 30 degr. during the
Low level.
Selection of phase shift
The reference signal against which the phase is shifted is the
one applied to the rear panel terminal TRIG.OUTPUT
. The
output signal at OUTPUT
may be shifted 0 to 359.9 degr. with
respect to the reference.
After entering the MAIN MENU 2 the button [Phi] will call the
menu in which the phase values can be chosen. Entry may be
done by using the button array
, the knob or the keyboard
. After keying in the button [Deg.] must be de-pressed in order
to enter the value.

OPTIONS MENU 1 allows to change the settings of the interface
[Com], to store arbitrary signals on a memory card [MCard]
and to store up to 10 different instrument settings in the in-
strument.

STOP
Using an IEEE-interface (HO880) the baudrate has
to be set to 9600 baud.
Memory card (HO831)
The HM8131-2 features a PCMCIA interface and a slot to insert
a memory card (SRAM 64 kB to 1 MB). The data is stored in
DOS format like in a fl oppy disc drive and can thus be read and
used by any PC . However, the data is structured according to
an inhouse HAMEG standard (HIDAFF) allowing information
interchange between all HAMEG instruments which support
memory cards; this has nothing to do with the DOS format.
STOP
Do not attempt to format memory cards in a PC,
formatting must be done in a HM8131-2.
The item [MCard] of the OPTIONS MENU 1 allows access to all
operations concerning memory cards.
