NEVER CONNECT THIS UNIT TO A CHIMNEY
FLUE SERVING ANOTHER APPLIANCE.
Installation and repair of this stove should be done by a
competent and qualied professional. We recommend
that the stove be inspected before use and at least
annually by a qualied service person. Periodic cleaning
is required throughout the heating season and at the end
of each winter for the stove to work efciently.

Carbon monoxide, referred to as CO, is a colorless,
odorlessgasthatisproducedduringcombustionofsolid
fuels.CO is toxic and can be fatal.
Even though this stove is designed to be as safe as
possible,itisrecommendedthatyouinstall a CO detector.
Thisistrueforoil,gas,orwoodburningproductsaswell.
COisnotspecicallyheavierorlighterthanair.Therefore,
itisbesttoinstallthedetectorattabletoplevelratherthan
ontheceilinglikeasmokedetector.
COdetectorsareverysensitiveandmaysoundanalarm
forfumesotherthanCOorCOfromsourcesotherthan
thestovesuchasacarorlawnmowerexhaust.
If the alarm sounds
1.Increase house ventilation by opening windows or
doors.
2.Makesurethestovedoorsandhopperlidareclosed
andlatched.
3.Checkstoveforelectricalpowerandnormaloperation.
4.Checkventforpossibleblockageordown-draft.
5.Checkforfalsealarm.
Neverusegasoline,lanternfuel,kerosene,charcoallighter
uid,orsimilarliquidstostartor“freshenup”areinthis
heater.Keepallsuchliquidswellawayfromtheheaterwhile
itisinuse.
