11.2 Shielding Gas Connection

 Connect the gas hose of the shielding gas bottle to the gas inlet of the stud wel-
ding unit.
 Connect the gas hose of the stud welding gun to the gas outlet.
 Set the ow meter of the shielding gas bottle to 8 - 16 liters/min.
Minimum ow rate for stud welding with shielded gas is 8 l/min
For stud welding a shielding gas mixture according DIN EN ISO 14175 is used.
 Please refer to chapter 9 for more detailed information.
 You must not put the air hose into the gas valve of the stud welding
unit!
The valve would be destroyed.
If the conduits are wrongly connected, feeding and welding malfunc-
tions will occur.
