7 Troubleshooting
The following overview helps find possible faults and
their causes and perform measures to rectify the
faults.
Fault Cause Remedy
The balancer does
not hold the weight
of the tool.
The cable pull in the
balancer is not
correctly adjusted or
is defective.
f The balancer must
be correctly
adjusted.

The tool cannot be
pulled down.
The tool does not
work.
The cable on the
overhead suspension
is disconnected.
f Connect and
fasten the cable
properly.
The cable tie reel will
not unwind.
The cable tie reel is
inserted in the wrong
winding direction
(counterclockwise)
f Insert the cable tie
reel with
clockwise winding
direction.
8 Maintenance
DANGER
Danger of lethal electric shock!
There is a risk of lethal injury when touching live
components.
f Switch off the power supply unit before taking out of
operation
f Pull the power cable out of the socket.
8.1 Cleaning
NOTE
Possible material damage due to unsuitable cleaning
agents!
Incompatible and aggressive cleaning agents can damage
surfaces or components.
f Only use cleaning agents that are compatible with the
surfaces and materials of the overhead suspension,
tool, power supply unit, and cables.
f Cover sensitive components for protection.
8.1.1 Cleaning the overhead suspension
1 Disconnect the power supply unit.
2 Clean dirt and foreign objects off of the overhead
suspension.

8.2 Maintenance
8.2.1 Important information
The overhead suspension must be regularly
maintained to ensure it is working safely.
8.2.2 General maintenance measures
The maintenance required for the tool and the power
supply unit is described in the tool's operating
instructions.

f Check the overhead suspension regularly to ensure it
is working properly.
f Check the suitability of the workplace.
f Check the fastened electrical cords for damage.
f Damaged electrical cords must be replaced
immediately by qualified maintenance personnel.
8.3 Repair

Severe injuries due to improperly performed
maintenance work!
Maintenance work not carried out correctly can affect the
safety of the overhead suspension and result in severe
injuries.
f Maintenance work should only be performed by
authorised and trained personnel.
