17.3 Guarantee and limitations
Even though this is an advanced and reliable alarm system, it is impossible to give a 100% guarantee
against burglary, fire and other accidents. The following restrictions apply to this alarm:
1 Burglars can break in through unprotected entrances or have access to sophisticated technical
equipment, which could invalidate the alarm system.
2 The system shuts down without power and the backup battery runs dry.
3 If installed in inappropriate places, the siren may not alert the residents.
4 The telephone line or the GSM network can be out of service for various reasons, if this
happens, then the alarm system will not be triggered.
5 Inappropriate installation of the sensors. If, for example the smoke sensor is installed in the
wrong place, smoke may not easily get into sensor range. The smoke sensor can not detect fire
in other rooms or on other floors.
6 Lack of maintenance can cause the alarm system to not functioning properly. Test the alarm
system at regular intervals to ensure that it works perfectly.
