Troubleshooting
Symptom

Conveyor rollers not
turning or have
insufficient drive
Roller obstruction.
Remove obstruction and
inspect roller for damage.
Photo-eye not aligned.
Adjust the photo-eye as
required.
Dirty rollers and/or urethane
drive pad.
Clean rolls and/or driver
thoroughly using (409) or
similar household cleaner.
Insufficient air supply.
Check the regulator setting.
Check for air leaks
Driver pad worn.
Check the driver pad for
wear, and replace if
needed.
Gearmotor runs hot or
overheats
Chain oiler not lubricating
properly.
Servie the chain lubricator.
High or low voltage.
See motor nameplate for
proper voltage and test with
voltmeter.
Air pressure too high.
Adjust the air regulator to
25 psi.
Insufficient reducer
lubrication.
Check oil level, and add if
necessary.
Excessive chain or
sprocket wear
Misaligned terminal
sprocket.
Check sprocket height in
drive and tail end units.
Insufficient chain lubrication.
Check automatic oiler
reservoir fill level. Check
assist spring clip and adjust
or check PLC
timer/program based on
oiler type.
Conveyor supports of
mounting bolts not secured.
Tighten or secure as
required.
Chain worn out.
Check chain elongation and
replace as required.
