Walk through the system and inspect the conveyor
equipment once each shift.
Ensure walkways and floor areas are clear of product
spillage, oil, grease, water or other liquids that create an
unsafe environment for the personnel.
Confirm all safety guards are clean, secure and in the
proper position. Warning signs, lights, and alarms
associated with the operation of the conveyor system is
in good operating condition to ensure the safety of all
plant personnel.
Overall System Operation and Appearance
Listen for leaks around pneumatic devices and
connections.
Remove any trash, debris or other foreign items.
Verify that the filter/regulator for the accumulation
controls is set at 25 psi. Note: If loads are stalling due to
poor quality pallets, the filter/regulator can be increased
to 30 psi. The filter/regulator for the oil reservoir should
be set at 12 psi.
Product Transportation/Accumulation
Confirm that product transports positively (travels along
the length of the conveyor without obstruction or
hesitation). Verify the loads accumulate and stop within
their designated zone and do not make contact with
adjacent loads.
Confirm that product accumulates effectively without
build-up of line pressure.
Check physical condition of safety guards and the
alignment position.
Check the fasteners and setscrews to ensure they are
tight.
