General Conveyor Inspection
Inspect for physical condition - looking for any indication
of normal wear to a component needing replacing.
Check all safety devices such as, warning lights, horns,
pull cords, light curtains etc., and proper operation is
verified.
Note: The gear reducer is filled with proper lubricant at
the factory and has a breather plug installed.
Check for mounting(s), oil leakage and general overall
condition.
Note: The seals are normal wear items and may require
replacement eventually.
Remove build-up of dirt or dust on the fan housing and
motor surface.
Check all photocells, proximity sensors, limit switches,
etc., and adjust as needed.
Clean lenses and reflectors on photo-eye devices.
Check all electrical devices for alignment position,
physical condition and proper operation
The bearings used for mounting the tail end sprocket are
lubricated for life and require no additional grease.
Inspect the bearings for exposed lubricant. This may
indicate a damaged or worn seal.
Check locking collars to ensure they are tight on the
shaft.
Verify all mounting hardware is tight.
Chain - Observe the general condition of the chain
Check for signs of wear on the side bars.
Check that the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated.
Ensure each unit’s air pressure is properly set. It is
recommended for accumulation controls the air pressure
is set to 25 psi.
