command
selects
the
HP-IB
data
transfer
mode.
(This
command
has
no
effect
when
the
1^-232
interface
is
used.)
In
mode
1,
each
device-dependent
character
is
processed
when
received.
No
other
communications
are
permitted
on
the
bus
until
the
entire
HP
3325B
pro^am
string
has
been
accepted
and
all
but
the
last
character
processed.
In
mode
2,
device-dependent
characters
are
accepted
and
stored
in
an
internal
buffer;
they
are
not
processed
until
the
End-Of-Command-String
(EOCS)
character
is
received
or
the
buffer
is
filled
(48
bytes).
Valid
EOCS
characters
are
the
<iine
feed>
character
(ASCII
decimal
10)
or
the
asterisk
(*)
character
(ASCII
decimal
42).
