SS; Start Single Sweep Command
The effect of the SS command depends on the state of the instrument. If the instrument is
not sweeping and not in the sweep-reset state, then the SS command puts the instrument in
the sweep-reset state at the sweep Start Frequency. If the instrument is already in the
sweep-reset state, this command starts a single sweep. If the instrument is sweeping, this
command stops the sweep and does not restart it.
Single sweeps can be started using the HP-IB Group Execute Trigger command. Before using
the GET command, the HP 3325B must be in the enhancements mode and the sweep must
be reset using the RSW command.
