1. Connect the equipment as shown in Figure 2-1.

2. Press [ALC MODE 8) repeatedly until the MARKER/SWEEP/STATUS display
shows HLC= Diode. Note that the EXT ALC annunciator is lit.
3. Enter the coupling factor by selecting m EXT CAL and then entering
the desired number.
