6. When replacing a system board, be sure that a thermal pad is installed at the location shown in the
following illustration.
To install the system board, reverse this procedure.
Display assembly
To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations.
NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part
information, see the individual removal subsections.
Before removing thedisplay panel, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 25).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28).
4. Remove the WLAN antenna bracket (see WLAN module on page 30).
Remove the display assembly:
1. Disconnect the camera cable (1) and display cable (2) from the ZIF connectors on the system board.
2. Remove the display cable from the clips along the top of the computer (3).
3. Disconnect the antenna cables from the terminals on the WLAN module (4).
