Heat sink — UMA L94042-001
Heat sink — discrete L94041-001
Before removing the heat sink, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 37).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover and rubber feet on page 38).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 39).
4. Remove the fan.
Remove the heat sink on models with discrete graphics:
1. Remove the six Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (1) that secure the heat sink to the system board.
2. Remove the heat sink (2).
Remove the heat sink on models with UMA graphics:
1. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (1) that secure the heat sink to the system board.
