Symptom
The status LED on an HPE 5944 FAN Module with Port to Power Airflow (JL837A) or HPE 5944 FAN
Module with Power to Port Airflow (JL838A) is flashing yellow or off.
Solution
See "Installing/removing a " to replace a failed fan module. If the issue persists, contact Hewlett
Packard Enterprise Support.
Configuration terminal display problems
If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays booting
information when the switch is powered on. If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal
displays nothing or garbled text.
No display
Symptom
The PC displays nothing when the switch is powered on.
Solution
To resolve the issue:
1. Verify that the power supply is supplying power to the switch.
2. Verify that the console cable is correctly connected.
3. Verify that the console cable does not have any problems and the PC settings are correct.
4. If the issue persists, contact Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support.
Garbled display
Symptom
The display on the PC is garbled.
Solution
To resolve the issue:
1. Verify that the following settings are configured for the terminal:
Baud rate—9,600.
Data bits—8.
