For HP J3111A (600N) LocalTalk-Only
Customers: If you are not connected to an
Ethernet network, “I/O CARD NOT READY” and
“LAN ERROR - EXTERNAL LOOPBACK”
messages may appear. These messages should stop
appearing after three minutes. To eliminate the
messages, attach an Ethernet loopback connector to
one of the Ethernet ports.
For persistent problems, refer to the troubleshooting sections in the
applicable HP Jetdirect Administrator’s Guide supplied
electronically on the HP Jetdirect CD-ROM.
