17. Power up the server (on page 24).
Three-bay LFF rear drive cage option
Before installing this option the front bays must be fully populated with 12 LFF drives. High performance fans
must be installed in all fan bays.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 24).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 24).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 25).
4. Remove the access panel (on page 25).
5. If installed, remove the secondary riser board. The secondary riser board is not supported with a
three-bay LFF rear configuration.
