4.
Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 27).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 28).
5. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 32).
6. Disconnect any internal cables that are connected to the expansion board.
7. Remove the PCIe riser cage:
o Primary PCIe riser cage (on page 34)
o Secondary PCIe riser cage (on page 35)
8. Remove the expansion board.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
M.2 SSD enablement board
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 27).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Do one of the following:
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 27).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 28).
4. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 32).
5. Remove the PCIe riser cage ("Primary PCIe riser cage" on page 34).
6. Disconnect the M.2 SSD cables from the M.2 enablement boards. For more information, see "M.2
SSD Enablement Board option cabling (on page 130)."
7. Remove the M.2 SSD enablement board from the riser cage.
