Remove the battery.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
For more information about battery replacement or proper disposal, contact an authorized reseller or an
authorized service provider.
System board
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 27).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Remove the server from the rack (on page 28).
4. Remove all power supplies ("AC power supply" on page 38).
5. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 32).
6. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 32).
7. Remove the PCIe riser cage ("Primary PCIe riser cage" on page 34).
8. If installed, remove the secondary PCIe riser cage ("Secondary PCIe riser cage" on page 35).
9. Remove the FlexibleLOM ("FlexibleLOM" on page 44).
10. Remove all DIMMs ("DIMMs" on page 63).
11. Remove the fan cage ("Fan cage" on page 43).
12. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board.
13. Remove the heatsink ("Heatsink" on page 58).
14. Remove the processor.
15. Loosen the system board thumbscrews.
