12. Route the SATA cable underneath the metal tabs, and connect the opposite end of the cable to the
connector on the system board.
13. Install the system air baffle (on page 24).
14. If removed, install the PCI air baffle ("Install the PCI air baffle" on page 22).
15. Install the front bezel (on page 21).
16. Install the access panel (on page 19).
17. Return the server to an upright position.
18. Connect each power cord to the server.
19. Connect each power cord to the power source.
20. Power up the server (on page 18).
PCI fan and baffle option
CAUTION: For proper cooling do not operate the server without the access panel, baffles,
expansion slot covers, or blanks installed.
If you intend to install a storage controller, GPU card or any expansion boards in the PCIe slot area except
the dedicated iLO module, a PCI fan and baffle option is required to provide proper cooling of the PCIe slot
area.
To install the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 18).
2. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
3. Place the server on its side.
4. Remove the access panel (on page 18).
5. Remove the system air baffle (on page 23).
