Remove the drive from the carrier.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System board
To remove the component:
1. Unlock and remove the tower bezel ("Remove the tower bezel" on page 23).
2. Power down the server (on page 23).
3. Remove all power:
a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.
b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Place the server on its side.
5. Remove the access panel (on page 24).
6. If installed, remove the PCI air baffle (on page 25).
7. Remove the system air baffle (on page 24).
8. Remove all DIMMs.
9. Remove the fans (on page 25).
10. If installed, remove the dedicated iLO port management module. ("Dedicated iLO port management
module" on page 46)
11. Disconnect any cables connected to installed PCIe cards.
12. Remove any installed PCIe cards.
13. Disconnect all cables connected to the system board.
14. Remove the heatsink:
a. Loosen one pair of diagonally opposite screws halfway, and then loosen the other pair of screws.
b. Completely loosen all screws in the same sequence.
