Replacing a hard drive

Removing a hard drive
1. Disconnect power from the system (
Predisassembly procedures on page 57) and remove the side
access panel (
Side access panel on page 63).
2. Disconnect the cables 1 from the hard drive.
3. Push in on the green drive-lock release tabs 2 and slide the hard drive out 3 of the chassis.

Installing a hard drive
1. Select a drive bay in which to install the drive.
2. In the hard drive cage, squeeze the green tabs and slide two rails out of the empty bay.
