Overview

The EASYTEST-COMBI519 is a versatile electronic measuring instrument designed for verifying the safety of electrical systems in compliance with IEC/EN61557, BS7671 17th and 18th editions, and IEC/EN61010 guidelines. It offers a comprehensive suite of functions for testing various aspects of electrical installations.

Function Description:

The instrument provides a wide range of measurement capabilities, including:

  • AUTO (Automatic Test Sequence): Performs an automatic sequence of Ra (overall earth resistance without RCD tripping), RCD (tripping current and time for General RCDs of type A/F, AC, or B/B+), and MΩ (insulation resistance with test voltages from 50V to 1000V DC) measurements.
  • DMM (Digital Multimeter Function): Measures real-time TRMS values of Phase-Neutral (P-N), Phase-PE (P-PE), Neutral-PE (N-PE) voltages, and frequency.
  • RPE (Continuity of Protective Conductors): Tests the continuity of earth, protective, and equipotential conductors with a test current greater than 200mA and an open-circuit voltage between 4V and 24V. It supports STD (standard) and TMR (timed) modes, and offers compensation for cable resistance.
  • LoΩ (Continuity of Protective Conductors with 10A): Measures the resistance of protective and equipotential conductors with a test current greater than 10A, requiring the optional EQUITEST accessory. This function uses a 4-wire method, eliminating the need for preliminary cable calibration.
  • MΩ (Measurement of Insulation Resistance): Measures insulation resistance with continuous test voltages of 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, or 1000V DC. It supports MAN (manual), TMR (timed, including DAR and PI tests), and AUTO (automatic sequence) modes.
  • RCD (Test on Differential Switches): Performs tests on molded-case standard, General, and Selective RCDs of type A/F, AC, B/B+, and DD, up to 1000mA. It measures tripping time, tripping current, and contact voltage. Modes include AUTO, x½, x1, x5, and ramp test.
  • LOOP (Line/Loop Impedance and Overall Earth Resistance): Measures line/fault loop impedance (P-N, P-P, P-E) and calculates prospective short-circuit current. It also measures overall earth resistance without RCD tripping (Ra) and checks the breaking capacity of magnetothermal protections (MCB) and fuses, as well as protection against indirect contacts.
  • LoZ (Line/Loop Impedance with High Resolution): Measures line/loop impedance (L-N, L-L, L-PE) with high resolution (0.1mΩ) and calculates prospective short-circuit current, requiring the optional IMP57 accessory.
  • 1,2,3 (Phase Sequence and Phase Concordance Test): Indicates phase sequence using a 1-wire method, by direct contact with live parts.
  • ΔV% (Voltage Drop of Mains): Evaluates the percentage voltage drop between two points of the mains, comparing it to specified limit values. It supports L-N and L-L modes, and can use the optional IMP57 for high-resolution measurements.
