● Download and use the HTC Sync Manager software on your computer. You can set it up to
automatically get music, photos, and videos off your phone to your computer. You can also sync
playlists from your computer to the phone.
If you have an iPhone, you can even connect it and transfer the camera roll (photos and videos)
to your computer. Then reconnect your phone and copy them over. For details, see HTC Sync
Manager.
● Use cloud storage services to put your media in one place so you can manage them anywhere—
on your computer, HTC U11, and other mobile devices.
USB Type-C
Check out some frequently asked questions about the USB Type-C Accessory/charging port on the
HTC U11.
Am I required to use the provided USB Type-C cable or can I use a third-party cable?
HTC recommends that you use the USB cable that was provided with your phone for optimal
performance and compatibility. While third-party cables should work, there may be variances in power
output and this may cause performance degradation or other power-related issues. If you want to
purchase another USB cable for your phone, please visit htc.com/accessories. If you decide to buy a USB
cable elsewhere, look for the USB-IF certified logo. Please visit usb.org/kcompliance/view to see if your
USB cable received a USB-IF certification.
How does the USB Type-C connector differ from the micro USB connector on my old phone?
The main difference is that USB Type-C is reversible and you can insert the connector to the
USB/charger port of the phone in any horizontal orientation and it will still work.
