1. If you need to navigate by voice feedback, turn on TalkBack by pressing and holding two fingers
on the first screen until you hear a message and then a beep. Or if you accidentally enabled
TalkBack, follow the onscreen tutorial to turn it off.
2. From the Welcome screen, select a language and tap Let's go.
To skip any section, tap Next or Skip.
Note: If you are visually impaired or hard of hearing, touch and hold the screen with two fingers to enable
TalkBack. Tap Accessibility settings to change accessibility options.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete each section. For each topic, you will have the
option to skip it and continue to the next screen.
Terms of use – Read any applicable End User License Agreements or Terms of use for
using your phone, and tap Next to continue.
Set up Internet access – Select Mobile data or select a Wi-Fi
®
network to connect to. For
secured Wi-Fi networks, you will need to enter a password.
Hands Free Activation – See Activate Your Phone.
Sign in with your Google Account – Enter your Google Account email or phone number
and tap Next. If you don’t have a Google Account, tap More options > Create account.
Welcome – Enter your Google Account password, tap Next > I agree.
Note: You do not need to sign up for a Google Account to use your phone. However, to download apps
from the Google Play
™
Store, you must link your phone to a Google Account.
