8.3 Configuring Basic BGP4+ Functions
Before building BGP4+ networks, you need to configure basic BGP4+ functions.
8.3.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Before configuring basic BGP4+ functions, familiarize yourself with the applicable
environment, complete the pre-configuration tasks, and obtain the required data. This can help
you complete the configuration task quickly and accurately.
Applicable Environment
BGP4+ is configured in an IPv6 network.
Pre-configuration Tasks
Before configuring basic BGP4+ functions, complete the following tasks:
l Enabling IPv6
l Configuring link layer protocol parameters and IPv6 addresses for interfaces to make link

8.3.2 Starting a BGP Process

a BGP4+ process, you need to specify the number of the AS that the device belongs to.
