4.6 Installing an iBOX
Prerequisites

There should be no other wireless devices such as ZigBee, Bluetooth, WiFi, or wireless base station
devices in the battery room.

The iBOX should be no more than 10 m away from the farthest end of the battery rack.

The iBOX needs to be installed above one end of the battery rack.

There should be no obstructions higher than the battery rack between the iBOX and iBAT.

At least one side should be visible between the iBOX and the battery rack.

Before attaching the iBOX fastener, ensure that the installation surface is smooth and dustless.

It is recommended that the iBOX be installed more than 1 m above the floor. Signals will be weak if
it is installed at a lower position.

To avoid signal shielding, do not install the iBOX at a position with metal walls around it.

The iBOX antenna should be perpendicular to the floor.

Clearance should be kept around the antenna.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect the antenna provided with the iBOX to the RF_Z port on the iBOX.
Step 2 Attach the fastener to the wall.
Step 3 Clamp the iBOX to the fastener.
