Why is my Hunter Douglas Window Blinds shade hard to raise or lower?
    • D
      Deanna MclaughlinAug 25, 2025
If your Hunter Douglas Window Blinds shade is hard to raise or lower, or won't move at all, consider these potential issues: First, remember that shadings cannot be forced into tight inside mount window openings. If it's an inside mount, ensure the headrail is correctly installed and there's enough clearance between the ends of the shade and the window casement. Check that the installation brackets are level and aligned; adjust or shim if needed. If you have EasyRise™, make sure the cord tensioners are mounted correctly. For LiteRise®, close the vanes by pressing down on the front of the handle before raising or lowering.

Why is the bottom rail on my Hunter Douglas PowerView Window Blinds not raising or lowering completely?
    • O
      owenshellyAug 26, 2025
If the bottom rail on your Hunter Douglas PowerView Window Blinds shade isn't raising or lowering completely, or its position has changed, the batteries in the battery wand or satellite battery pack may be low, so try replacing them. Also, make sure the battery wand, satellite battery pack, or 18V DC power supply is securely connected to the power cable, and that the cables aren't pinched or caught in the headrail or installation brackets.

      Jacqueline CummingsSep 4, 2025
If your Hunter Douglas shading is difficult to raise or lower, or it's stuck, here's what you can do: First, if it's an inside mount, ensure it's installed correctly and there's enough space between the shading's ends and the window frame. For LiteRise, close the vanes by pressing down on the handle's front before raising. If needed, pull the shading away from the window to fully close the vanes. For EasyRise, check the universal cord tensioner is mounted correctly; pull down the spring to release tension and move the tensioner to the cord loop's bottom, then properly mount it. Also, verify the installation brackets are level and use shims to adjust if necessary.
