What to do if no valves come on in my Hunter Genesis Controller?
    • D
      Daniel KlineJul 27, 2025
If no valves are turning on, consider these potential causes: * The controller may be in SKIP DAYS or RAIN SHUTDOWN. Review the skip option for each Program. * The water or power supply might be off. Ensure that both are turned on. * The display could be indicating an open fuse. Replace the fuse. * The common valve wire may be loose, disconnected, or broken. Check the connections and inspect the common wire for any breaks. * It might not be a programmed Water Day. Verify the Program settings.

Why one valve does not come on or the display shows overload on my Hunter Genesis Controller?
    • Z
      zwoodAug 3, 2025
If a single valve isn't activating or the display indicates an overload, possible reasons include: * A loose wire at the terminal strip. Tighten any loose connections. * Solenoid failure at the valve. Replace the solenoid. * A broken or damaged wire leading to that valve. Replace or repair the wire. * No output from the controller to the valve. Return output board for repair. * Exceeded max. number of solenoids allowed on at one time. Review all Programs running and verify that the load at any one time does not exceed 3A.

How to fix a Hunter Genesis valve that stays on?
    • J
      Jesse BarberAug 9, 2025
If a valve remains on, consider the following: * There might be a continuous output voltage at the controller. If the valve shuts off when disconnected, replace and return the triac board for repair. * The valve could be stuck or damaged. Repair or replace the valve. * The program may be set to run in hours instead of minutes. Review and correct the Program settings.

Why do valves come on again when all should be off on Hunter Genesis Controller?
    • C
      calhounmatthewAug 14, 2025
If the valves turn on again when they should be off, it's possible that the Cycle option has been changed to run more than once. Review the Cycle option for that Program. 0 = Infinite cycles 1 = Normal, 2 = 2 times, 3 = 3 times, ... and so on.

What to do if adjacent station comes on with currently running valve on Hunter Controller?
    • R
      ryanrichardAug 20, 2025
If an adjacent station activates alongside the currently running valve, it could be that the triac tab of the current station is touching the triac tab of an adjacent station. Turn off the power and separate the triac tabs.
