7.3.2 Manual Fetal Movement Event Marker
The Fetal Movement Event Marker is a pushbutton switch fi tted with a captive
cable and connector which is supplied as standard. It is plugged into the socket
on the rear of the unit. The switch allows maternally sensed fetal movements to
be recorded.
Use only Fetal Event Marker switch supplied with the Team 3,
or listed in the Accessories. Do not connect any other item of
equipment to the Fetal Event Marker socket.
Before use, inspect the Fetal Event Marker switch and connecting
cable assembly, ensuring that it is clean and undamaged. See
Section 15 for cleaning procedures.
The Fetal Event Marker must be kept dry. Do not immerse or use
in the presence of liquids.
1. Connect the event marker to the jack socket on the rear of Team 3 (
).
2. Give the event marker to the mother. Tell her to press the button every time
she feels a fetal movement.
A triangular event mark is printed at the top of the TOCO grid.

Note: Team 3 can record both Manual and Automatic Fetal Movements
simultaneously.
