14. Trouble Shooting
This section gives some of the more common problems encountered during use
together with possible causes. If the problem cannot be located after consulting
the table in this section, the Team 3 should be switched off, disconnected from
mains power source and a qualifi ed technician should be consulted.
Before attempting trouble-shooting, verify that the power cable is properly
connected to both the Team 3 and the mains power source.
14.1 FHR
SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY
No FHR signal displayed Check Team 3 is switched on.
Check the FHR transducer is connected.
High % signal loss Check transducer placement.
Check the transducer is not damaged.
Consider switching from Ultrasound to FECG.
No FHR trace printed Check Print button has been pressed.
Check there is paper in the paper tray.
Check paper tray is fully pushed in.
Only one trace (twins) OR
Traces superimposed (twins)
Check ‘Printer Offsets’ in Printer setup. See
Section 5.3.7
No beep when button
pressed.
Check sound setting. See section 5.3.7.
Alarm not working Alarm may be turned off. See Section 5.3.7
Team 3 not printing/recording.
14.2 Oximetry
SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE / REMEDY
No signal appears when the
oximetry sensor is connected
OR
Signal disappears after some
time of monitoring
Check connector jack is properly inserted.
Check connections between connecting cable
and sensor.
Check fi nger properly inserted.
Nail varnish can interfere with readings – try
own fi nger.
