Cleaning and inspection
• Clean and check all parts carefully. Parts must
be replaced if cracked or showing signs of
other defects. Always use original spare parts.

7.13 Assembling the oil pump and screen

Lower the oil lter in place and replace the oil pump
as outlined in gure 22 and tighten the screws.

Fit the pump drive wheel and apply three bond
#1322 (thread lock) to the screws. Fit the chain
guide plate.Tightening torque 1,5-2,9 Nm. See
gure 22B.

Fit the clutch. See the “Assembling the centrifugal
clutch” chapter.

Fit the saw chain, guide bar and clutch cover.

Adjust the oil pump. See Figure 23.

Insufficient saw chain lubrica-
tion can result in chain breakage,
which can cause serious personal
injury.
7.14 Dismantling the intake system
The intake system consists of:
• The inlet pipe assy, B
• The intake ange, C

Dismantle the cylinder cover.

Dismantle the air lter, the lter holder, the cable
from the intake ange holder.

Dismantle the carburettor as outlined in “Disman-
tling the carburettor”.
