12.2 Product overview
N O T I C E
Do not put the pH sensor in red pH 4 buffer. Red pH 4 buffer can cause permanent damage to the sensor lenses.
As an alternative, use pH 4 buffer that has no color.
The pH sensor (007264) is shown in Figure 14. The pH glass bulb is easily damaged. The pH sensor
(007264) is always used with a separate reference sensor (004463). Refer to Reference sensor
(004463) on page 35.
The pH integrated sensor (007234) is shown in Figure 15. The pH integrated sensor has an
integrated reference sensor.

12.3 Calibration

equipment appropriate to the chemicals that are handled. Refer to the current safety data sheets
(MSDS/SDS) for safety protocols.

Calibrate the sensors before initial use, at regular intervals and after sensor maintenance or
modifications. Periodically, do a calibration check to make sure that measurements are still within
tolerance range.
